Stories, poems and songs

Stories, poems and songs are a great way of bringing people together. Take a look at the Oak and Holly facts, myths and folklore sheets in your paper packs or think about a nature or wildlife story or poem you have read. Do you remember the book we looked at in Forest School, The Lost Words by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris? There is an example of their work below.

Can you create your own about nature? Maybe you can write a story or draw a comic strip. Can you sing a song or write an acrostic poem using your favourite animal as the title? Will there be a superhero or a villain? Include some illustrations or music. Don't forget to share your work with someone in your house. If you can, we would love to see it too, ask an adult to share via Twitter and remember our online safety rules.
