Morning Year 4 :-)

You will notice a slight change in today's timetable, we have swapped Reading with Spelling and Grammar!

Word of the day:   Forlorn

- Find out what it means and write the definition in your own words!
- What is its word class?

- Make a list of synonyms and antonyms

- Can you use it in an interesting sentence?

Are you able to use it, appropriately, when you are speaking or in any of your writing opportunities?

0900 - 0930 - Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar

It's all in the description! Today is your opportunity to let your creative juices flowing.

Take a look at the tasks set below :-)

Remember to challenge yourself with your vocabulary choices...make sure you know the meaning of the words that you use!

0930 - 1030 - Maths Friday is core skills day. We will be focusing on multiplication and building up these skills. Below you will find some games that you can play and a ultimate times table challenge. Have fun and remember any practice that you can do on your times tables is always valuable.

1030 - 1100 - Break

1100 - 1130 - Reading

David Walliams is releasing an audio story from The World’s Worst Children every day for the next 30 days. Sit back, and enjoy listening to the tales of The World's Worst Children!

1130 - 1215 - English

Your challenge today is to use your planning from yesterday and write a paragraph to describe the acoustic music.

Re-drafting is all part of the writing process! To help you improve your writing, write  2 stars and a wish! Where possible, read/share your writing with someone else like we do in the classroom.

1215 - 1315 - Lunch

1315 - Enquiry

Order the key events of the Norman Conquest in words and pictures. Choose the Mild, Spicy or Hot challenge. There is an answer key but no sneaky peeking UNTIL you have completed your learning.

See documents below for full task.

More exciting things to come next week. Have a lovely weekend Year 4.
