Morning Year 4 :-)

Below are your learning challenges for today! Along with your tasks, we have given you a suggested timetable to support you in creating a routine. Remember though, you can adapt these to suit the timetable you have at home!

Word of the day: indulgence

- Find out what it means and write the definition in your own words!
- What is its word class?

- Make a list of synonyms and antonyms

- Can you use it in an interesting sentence?

0900 - 0930 - Reading

Choose a book that interests you and read to yourself or to someone in your family.  In your Home Learning pack, there are a variety of questions you could answer with a sibling or a parent. Also attached below is a Check Parent_Reading_Prompts for further support.

In the Home Learning pack, you have a pack of comprehension questions, complete Violet 1. Remember to read the passage carefully and refer back to it when answering the questions.

0930 - 1030 - Maths

Take a look at the addition and subtraction challenges in your Home Learning pack. Answer these questions in the maths books sent home.  Don't forget to check all of your answers!

Use the following link to practise your times tables:

1030 - 1100 - Break

Why not try a GoNoodle video? Or think back to some exercises we have done in our P.E lessons to warm up our bodies!

1100 - 1115 - Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar

Complete your Spelling Challenge for words given in Week 4. Get a sibling or parent to read the words to you and complete them in your Home Learning book.

In your learning packs you have got an English word mat selection which might help you.

1200 - 1300 - Lunch

1300 - Topic (RE)

In your pack you have an RE task! Think back to the wonderful learning you did over the last term! You can choose how you present your learning from the list! You may choose to do it in two different ways!

This afternoon would be a good opportunity to explore the wonders that Mrs Holmes has put together in her forest school pack. Take a look at the different activities that interest you and try one out!

Have a super day,

Mr Woodsell, Miss Chapman and Mrs Lee
