Good morning Year 3!   


Here are some of the week’s highlights (apart from Maths, Reading and SPaG): 

Monday- Story I Won’t Eat That, PE and Voting on the questionnaires      

Tuesday- Voting results and making a branching database 

Wednesday- Story Sam’s Sandwich and finishing your branching database 

Thursday- French and the Bible – a best seller 

Friday- No School!  A day to keep fit (and tidy your room)! ;) 


8:50am Word of the Day – vote 

Find out what it means.  Write it in your book. 


9:00am  Read to an adult 

Write the short date, book title and pages read in your exercise book. 

Reminder, if you are working on Lexia, you should be using it 15 minutes today as well. 


9:30am Supermovers and Maths 

Dance along to the Supermovers while doing your 3 times table.

3 times table review –  

  1. Complete multiplication matching activity.  

To develop memory, make it a Pelmanism game by turning the cards upside down, setting them out neatly in a grid and then taking turns to turn 2 over at a time to try to make a pair. 

  1. Complete Dividing by 3. 


10:30am  Break 


10:45-11:15am Grammar and Spelling 

Ask an adult to quiz you on last week’s words. 

Then, look at your new spelling words and start practising them. 

Remember to make your sentences as complex as possible with all of the punctuation and grammar features we have learned this year.

*Remember, if it is a proper noun it needs a capital letter.

Often takes the suffix

Note: To improve your sentence, move the adverb of time to the beginning            

          of the sentence.      After breakfast, I brushed my teeth.

Well done to everyone who showed patience with J2E and completed the animal questionnaires.  They have been an absolute treat to read!

ICT - EXTENSION - When you have voted and let comments. try J2Code.  

JIT - Select a background and then move the man on camel/horseback using the arrows.  Directions will show on the left. To run, select the arrow.

Visual - This is very similar to Scratch which we used in school using Motion, Looks and Events.
