Assessment
At Sussex Road we believe assessment is a vital part of the learning process. We use a range of ongoing, formative, and summative assessments to understand each child’s progress, celebrate their achievements, and identify areas for development. Our goal is to support every learner in reaching their full potential in a supportive and engaging environment.
Assessment informs our teaching, helping staff to plan lessons that are tailored to the needs of each child. We communicate regularly with parents and carers, ensuring they are well-informed about their child’s development through reports and parent consultation meetings. We are committed to ensuring assessment is fair, inclusive, and used to inspire confidence and growth in every child.
