SRSA
Welcome to the Sussex Road School Association Page
ABOUT US
We are a group of parents and teachers who give up some of our time, as and when we can, to help raise money for the School.
The aim of the Association is to advance the education of the pupils by providing, or assisting in the provision of, facilities for the School. We also work to extend the relationship between Staff, parents and others associated with the School and engage in activities which support the School and advance the education of pupils attending it.
PTA events are planned by an enthusiastic Committee who meet approximately once a month during term time. We also have 'Friends of the SRSA' for parents who do not have the time to attend the regular meetings but still like to help out at occasional events. If you are interested in finding out more, please ask a Committee member.

GETTING INVOLVED
There are many good reasons to get involved with the SRSA, the obvious one being to help raise funds for the school and the pupils. However, there are lots of other benefits and reasons to be a SRSA member or friend. You can: learn more about school life and how the school works, you can be a part of teachers and parents working together for the school and it’s future while making lots of new friends.
MEETINGS
We hold meetings once a month. Attending meetings is not compulsory but a really good way to mix with other committee members and find out what is going on. Agendas and Minutes are sent out by email to all members after the meetings. They are also published on this website for everyone to read and keep up to date, should they wish to. Our meetings are good fun, light hearted but do follow an agenda to ensure we cover all necessary items.
PLAYGROUND FUNDRAISING
We recently raised funds to assist with the re-development of the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 playgrounds which have proved really popular with the children.
