Reception 2025 School Tours

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.  We want to make sure that you are able to make an informed choice and one that is right for your child. 

We welcome you to Sussex Road Primary School to experience how our children thrive in our inclusive environment which provides a wide curriculum, developing the whole child.  You will meet with our Headteacher, Mrs Sarah Miles, whilst being shown around the learning environments.  You will see our children engaged in their learning though they are always very happy to talk to our visitors!  We will ensure you are informed about our curriculum; a curriculum which places emphasis on developing the whole child on a foundation of strong English and Mathematics skills. 

Our School Tours will take place on the following dates at 9:30am:

Please contact the School Office on 01732 352367 to make a booking.  If all dates are fully booked, we will try our best to accommodate you.

Tours will take approximately an hour.  Outside learning is important to us; we will want to show you our range of facilities so please bring a coat if cold or wet!  Be mindful of the parking restrictions in the surrounding roads; we are unable to offer parking on site.

Application Process

Parents of children due to start school in the 2025-2026 academic year are encouraged to visit their local primary schools throughout the Autumn Terms of 2024.  Applications for primary school places should then be made to Kent County Council.  Applications will open in November 2024 and close in January 2025.
