I hope you had a great day yesterday getting stuck back into your home learning. It's important to start the week with a positive mindset but it's equally important to remember that if we have a 'bad day' we always have tomorrow to try again.

Here is your suggested timetable for the day



  • Watch the video ‘Make Doubles’ on today’s page.
  • You can also watch the Doubling Machine video too if you’d like.
  • Complete the finding double questions using the pictures.
  • Match the doubles in the bubbles.
  • Play ‘Hit the Button’, starting with doubles to 10 first.
  • Extension: Have a go at the ‘Doubling Space Race’ game.

9.45 – 10

  • Head to Tapestry to find your group’s assigned phonics/SPaG activity.


10 – 10:40

  • Grab a healthy snack and get outside for some fresh air for a run around, a kick around or a bit of fresh air.

  • Come and join us on zoom for catch up, online lesson or to ask any questions you might have.


11:10 - 12

  • Re-listen to the story ‘Katie and the Starry Night’ so you become familiar with the story.
  • Go through the ‘Expanded Noun Phrase PowerPoint’.
  • Look at Mrs Atkins’ example of noun phrases from the famous paintings.
  • Create your own noun phrases to go with the famous van Gogh paintings. You can create more than one noun phrase for each paining.

  • Enjoy some lunch and get outside for fresh air.


1 – 1:30

  • Read ‘ish’ by Peter. H. Reynolds again or listen to Miss Williams read it to you.
  • Answer the eight comprehension questions by either discussing them with someone in your house or by writing your answers.
    (If you normally write your answers in full sentences please do so at home).  


1:30 - 3

  • Watch Mrs Atkin’s drawing video on Tapestry.
  • Have a go recreating parts of Vincent van Gogh’s drawing ‘View from a Wheat Field’.
