Maths – Time - Duration
Complete ‘24 hour clock First Activity Comparing Durations’, then the White Rose comparing duration questions.
Speaking with some of you on the phone yesterday, it was clear that for some 'finding duration with 24 hour times' was tricky. If that is the case, why not review 'finding the duration' on an analogue clock.
You can find easier questions here- there are 5 sets from easiest to hardest
When trying to find duration, the easiest way is to make the original time on the clock and then count the minutes/hours (on the clock) to find the new time. This teaching clock will help a lot!
Once again, the learning here is the Year 3 age-related work. Should you need a review of another aspect of time, please look on the Time link at the bottom of the Year 3 homepage.
