Tuesday 23rd June

Philosophical question: Do we really need to pay tax?

Here is our timetable for today:

Suggested times

9 – 9:30

Very sadly Joe Wicks, our brilliant PE substitute teacher, is taking it a bit slower now and only doing Mondays and Wednesdays so why don't you complete a couple of GoNoodles before we start today.

9:30 – 10:30

  • Watch today’s maths video where we read ‘I want it’ and watch a quick video about ours needs and our wants.
  • Decide which is the most important to buy and explain why you chose that.
  • Have your own go at the save and spend calculator – what will you save up for?
  • Have a look on the NatWest Money sense website for some fun saving games.

10:30 – 10:45

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air.

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG - Unit 10 (p34) words ending in -al

  • Sound out our -al words and find how many sounds in them.
  • Can you remove the suffixes in our word changers today?

11:10 – 12:00

  • Look through the ‘Good Poster Checklist’.
  • Read and think about your answers to the questions before you start your poster.
  • Look at the example poster and create your own Great Pirate Race poster.
  • Listen to Chapter 2 of Captain Cat and the Great Pirate Race.

12:00 – 1:00

Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game!

1:00 – 1:30

  • Re read or listen again to Chapter 19 ’Moon-Face get in to a Fix’ looking for details about the hens, goats and clock.
  • Draw an accurate picture of the scene of the children, Silky, the hens, the goat and clock walking to meet Moon-Face.

1:30 – 3:00

  • Make your junk model pirate ship!
  • Collect all the things you will need to make the main body of your pirate ship.
  • Watch the video of Miss Williams explaining how she made her pirate ship.
  • Create the main body of your pirate ship with the help of a grownup.

End of the day

Enjoy spending some down time with your family.
