Good Morning Year 1!

Our suggestion for your day: 


0900-0930 - Reading 

Choose a book of your choice to read to yourself or to someone in your family - you could log on to Tapestry to a story read by a mystery teacher!  


0930-1000- Maths Challenge 

Today you are going to be recapping counting in 5’s. To help you with this start by watching this video on YouTube. You will recognise it from school. Can you join in?  

After watching the video, have a go at the first page recapping counting in 5’s and then choose one of Miss Jeffery’s challenges to complete. Miss Bailey and I are looking forward to seeing what challenge you completed on Tapestry.   


1000-1020 – Handwriting 

Handwriting will start on Monday with videos on tapestry. Today use the RWI sound mats in your paper packs to write all the different sounds you know using lead ins and flicks. 


1020-11.30 Snack Time and Learning Choice Time 

Have one healthy snack: a banana, apple, orange etc. with a glass of milk or water. Make your own learning choice, there are ideas on the grid on our man learning page. 


1115-1200 – Phonics 

 Log onto tapestry and watch the speed sounds videos. Today and tomorrow we will be recapping previous learning. Download your phonics work for today - there are 4 different documents, make sure you click on the one that it titled with your phonics group colour! You received a text message yesterday to tell you which phonics group you are in. If you did not get a text please contact the school office FAO Miss Bailey or Miss Jeffery. 


1200 - 1300 - Lunchtime 


1300- 1330 – PE 

Choose an online work, play in the garden or go for a cycle, scoot, walk or run! 


1330 Onwards Topic and Learning Choice Time 

Today have a look at the new learning Mrs Holmes has uploaded onto the Forest School Learning page! Let us know which activities you choose on tapestry.
