Wednesday 24th June

Philosophical question: Should everyone get tips if they have done a good job?

Here is our timetable for today:

Suggested times

9 – 9:30

Joe Wicks PE session

9:30 – 10:30

  • Today we are recapping fractions and being able to find a fraction of the shapes.

  • Have a watch of the videos to remind you all about fractions.
  • There is a fraction challenge on your mymaths.
  • Look at the coloured in fractions – can you write the fraction underneath?
  • You have some shapes – spilt them into halves or quarters using your ruler. Colour in ½ or ¼.

10:30 – 10:45

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air.

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG - Unit 10 (p35) words ending in -al

  • Can you have someone at home to read you the dictation sentences (p54-55).
  • Let them test you on some of the words from this week.

11:10 – 12:00

  •  Listen to Chapter 3 from Captain Cat and the Great Pirate Race.
  • Look at the age from the book and find all the clues which tell us that the Golden Earring crew don’t enjoy Cannonball’s food.
  • Think of a disgusting dish for Cannonball to make the pirates.
  • Create a mind map with ingredients. Try to include some adjectives.
  • Create a mind map with imperative verbs used in cooking.

12:00 – 1:00

Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game!

1:00 – 1:30

  • Read or listen to Chapter 20 ‘Off to Dame Snap’s School’.
  • Discuss what you would have done if you saw Dame Snap marching down towards you.

1:30 – 3:00

  • Continue to make your junk model pirate ship!

- Finish the main body and then add the details such as: the masts, portholes, anchor steering wheel and crow’s-nest.
