Wednesday 25th March

Year 3.  You demonstrated such wonderful learning behaviours in class.  We hope you are showing off those same skills to your parents at home.  One of which is independent learning using your metacognition skills.  Remember, it's not your parents who are setting this learning, it's us as we know what you need to do to complete all Year 3 objectives before the year is out.  Righto.  Get ready to work-out and learn!

8.50am Word of the Day - recitation

Find out what it means and its word class (adjective, noun, verb, adverb).  It will be easy to use it today as you can ask someone if they would like to hear your recitation of A River.

9am Joe Wicks PE workout (YouTube)

Wow!  Well done to everyone for making it through Joe's workout yesterday.  I (Miss Hooper) was out of breath--but felt great afterwards! Looking forward to doing it again today.  :)

9.30am Read to an adult

Ask your adult questions in which they have to find the answers in the text.

(Write the short date, book title and pages read in your Writing exercise book.)

10am GoNoodle and Maths

GoNoodle -

Maths - Fractions on a number line day 2. See sheet below.

11am Take a Break

11.20am  Grammar and Spelling

Use the Year 3/4 spelling list to help you spot Mr Whoop's spelling errors.

11.30 am Poetry

See below.  Write work in your exercise book.

12.30pm Lunch

1.30pm Art

How to draw a river.  Follow this link.

You can use coloured pencils or crayons --or even just a black pencil as it is the shapes, textures and shading that make it look realistic.  I (Miss Hooper) tried it with success (see attached below), so we know you'll be able to do it as well.  Just take care drawing the initial shape of the river and be patient drawing all of the grass along the bank.  It takes a while, but will be worth it.  Proud of your drawing? Perhaps you could share it with everyone by sending it to Miss Bowles so she can post it on Twitter.

2;15-2:30 Break

2:30-3:15 MyMaths and TTRockstars

Complete MyMaths.  If you have already completed the activity for this week, go back and rework an activity on which you did not score 100% or on which you know you need improvement.  Time and Money always need to be reviewed!

Celebrate!  You're done! :)  Congratulate yourself on lots of learning -- and a great drawing!
