  •  Can you use it in an interesting sentence?

English

Use your planning to draft your letter to Cliff persuading him to either stay and become an island or to go and head off to the Hallowed Shallows.  Remember to stay in character!

We have learnt a lot about the characters so hopefully you should be able to get into their shoes.

Here is your success criteria:

Success Criteria:

Have I included it in my writing?

Vary length, structure or subject of sentences, generally using the correct tense and verb forms.

Organise ideas or material in a logical sequence and attempt to create links between paragraphs.

Use features of persuasive writing e.g. flattery, benefits, text in capitals, powerful verbs/adjectives, appeal, exaggeration and statistics.

Show different viewpoints in discussion texts by using positive and negative vocabulary.

Use fronted adverbials

Use conjunctions, prepositions and adverbs!

Remember that today we are only drafting, tomorrow you will be completing your final piece. Today is about forming your ideas into sentences. You may choose to focus on one or two paragraphs rather than the entire letter.
